Edwards LP help

Hi guys, i have an Edwards LP that i got from someone, he stated that he bought it from davis during 2004, so i'm assuming the guitar was made before 2004 or during that period? May i know where can i check for the serial number because I cant seem to find it at the headstock.
Another problem i found out was when i try to turn the volume knobs and tone knobs (2 each), they are stuck and requires alot of strength to be able to turn it, this only happened when i did'nt touch the knobs as i kept them all the way on all the time.
Thanks for your help! :D

serial number tracking... not too sure about documented reference, any chance you have a pic of this?

those knobs sure sound like they need replacement- this happens, it's not a defect. pots & input jacks are the likely parts to be replaced along the way- expendables, so to speak. they have a good life...

Here are some photos of the guitar

For the knobs, my friend said a contact cleaner might also do the trick? Could it be maybe the wiring inside is blocking the pot from being rotated?

Try contact cleaner first, if it still doesn't work, probably need to probe into the innards of your guitar.

BTW, that's quite a beautiful LP. NICE

The serial number should be pressed into the rear of the headstock near the top. That's how it was on my Edwards. The dating style resembles the ESP format.

not trying to sound like a snob or anything but IMO this kind of guitar doesn't have much collectability value. hence knowing when it was made probably does not make a difference.

you can remove the neck pickup to see if there is any indication on the wood itself.
