i found this site which is pretty useful!

i got some awesome delay sounds from that

however im still blur with a couple of things

what does 3/16, 4/16,2/16,1/6 stand for?

for the record. im using a dd20

haha and another thing. do you guys prefer counting your delay by ms or bpm? any pros and cons?

Yeah that site is pretty crazy...the guy who wrote it must be a little OCD.

The 3/16, 4/16,2/16,1/6 are delay times as fractions of the length of the bar. For example for a 3/16 delay then the length between each repeat from the delay is 3 16th notes.

These are kinda tricky to do with a delay pedal. You can either set your delay time and adjust the speed you play the piece or play the piece and the delay time so it fits with tempo you are playing. If you have a tap tempo on you delay you can tap every third 16th note.. something like ONE-ee-and-AA-two-e-AND-a -three-EE-and-a FOUR-e-and-a

yeah exactly

anyway dd20 users should know what im talking about

ok the thing that im blur about is

if i set my bpm at 130bpm

then i change it from quarter note to dotted eight or whatever note(you can choose the notes on the dd20)

then what happens?

i hope i make sense T.T

I didn't realize the dd20 had those settings.

8th note = 2/16
dotted 8th = 3/16
quater note = 4/16

..for 1/6 you can cheat by setting it to double the tempo and half note triplets (looks like d 3).

dotted 8th's (3/16) is the classic edge sound. You play 8th or 16 notes notes and the delay sounds in between the notes you play to create the rhythm. Pride is a good tune to start with.

You probably want to play with a click track or drum track and tap tempo the delay to match otherwise it's hard to do it.
