Ebs
I am an EBS Microbass II user and I have nothing but praise for it. I mainly play in church weekly with my bass through my pedal board and feed to house via the EBS.
I've been through alot of Bass DI boxes in search of my preferred tone, i.e Radial Tonebone Bassbone, Sadowsky DI, BOSS, Aguilar Tonehammer, Proel, etc etc. I ended up with the EBS and stuck with it.
My favourite part of the Microbass II is it's amount control that it gives over your tone, especially with only one bass input. By switching between channel A and B you get totally different sounds form your bass. It also has tube simulators to give extra warmth and the bright switch to give extra attack to your slaps. Of course, if you want to have a backup bass plugged in and ready to play, you can also plug both basses in and switch channels when required.
Another perk is it's option for you to blend your clean signal with the output from your effects loop. Especially helpful with fuzzes: dirties up your top end and keeping the low end.
Runs on 9v so no extra effort to get an additional power adapter (like some 15v Radial) and if you prefer running on batteries, the phantom power option saves your arse when power runs dry from the cells.
The mute function helps when you want to do some tuning onstage.
I really recommend getting it if you have the budget, definitely worth every cent!
