i cant guarantee perfect pitch (immediately identify note as Ab or wadever) but i have relative pitch (ability to indentify what notes/chords are in this certain scale) and i think thats quite ok already.
and with relative pitch, knowledge of music theory and your fretboard and scale patterns, there is certainly no need for tabs!
