Dw7000.. Is it good?

hey guys.. i think it's better if u post something that'll benefit/answer a question from the TS rather than posting pointless comments.....

for pedals... it's all a matter of preference...

some swear by brands.... some like the feel of other pedals... u can try asking MYNER. he owns the 7000... :D

Speaking very honestly, I think you wasted your money.

DW7000 series are nothing spectacular, save for the huge "DW" words on it. For the same price you spent on the DW7000, you could have gotten other pedals that would have given you more bang for the buck.

yeah the 7002's are a bit of a waste of money, they're like "upgraded" carlos pedals. but if tuned right they can do you good.

aww dudes.... he just bought it and you guys are saying that..
only will demoralise him....

you know maggot, you shud hf asked that question before you bought them

they are not a complete waste of money... just a bit pricey for the quality. if i can manage 180-200bpm semi-quavers. i don't think its that bad off, don't you think?

never mind....
wat i believe till now, not totally about the hardwares that make ppl good...
most of it, its the player himself.. and in this case the drummer...
even if someone is given Axis pedal, doesnt mean he can play like thomas lang

so no weris maggot, its yours and you haf the ryte to pimp it and make it fly..
but most of all, u'd better learn the ryte technique of playing...

couldnt agree more. i played it once at a jamming studio and it really feel very "cheap". just like what normal pedal that come together with an average kit.

i just think you should save more and get the famous DW5000 instead.

they're both new actually. i use both depending on venue and situation. my personal preference is the 5k tho.

oh yeah. regarding the 7ks. they're reasonably good. same cam drive as the TD 5k. exactly the same save for the ball bearings. i've used a 7k in a studio and i like em. prestige and looks aside. a 7k is reliable. congrats on your buy maggot16. i hope you're happy with it :)

Oh okay... yeah I tried out my friend's 9K before and I found it a bit too smooth. Maybe because I prefer to "feel" the pedal below my feet, that's why I felt that the 5K was good enough, or more than good enough.

i used the 7002s before moving to the 5000s. the difference was worth the price manz...

maggot16, your DW7000s will serve you well for a long time! mine was a single-chain pedal so i felt rather shortchanged coz it was old stock! if this is your first ever pedal, it's a good start!

hmm

for those that say it's a waste of money, sorry to say that u r very wrong....(no offence intended)... that pedal is one of the best(not the very best)...if it ain't good, why the hell do famous drummers use it....?
and by the way do you know that the iron cobra and dw series pedal was created using the same technology( except for a few different ther and here)...just to share...
