can it be hooked up to an amp???

Are you talking about any model in particular?

There are usually audio outputs, you can either line out to an amp, or a mixer to control your levels.

Really depends on which model.
Generally, you might have to go to a mixer/pre-amp first. The output might not be enough to drive an amp by itself. Unless you're talking about combo amps with a built-in Line In jack, then those are okay.
