Just a casual thought, what are the pros and cons of double pedal and double bass and which one do you guys use?

u hav to try a double bass to know how much effective it is. the double pedal was made just so double bass could b economical. back then there was no such thing as double pedals. i go w/ the double bass

hmm true

i guess anyone would wan a double bass if the could afford it XD

i am looking for a double pedal but heard the left pedal of the double pedal is pretty unstable, as in it will move out of position often as its not like the right pedal which is clipped to the bass drum. erm is this true?

hi, actually it depends on many things, eg. is your entire drumset on a carpet? your footwork.. etc. if everything is in order, the left side should not start moving up..

I've been using two bass drums for 15 years, and I have just bought a single bass drum set with double pedals, and I hate it. Totally different feel.

Double Bass RULES.

yo should place a carpet under the whole drumset. the weight of the drumset will hold down the carpet. and your left pedal should have those spiky screws to dig in to your carpet. that's enough to faster the pedal firmly and not let it slide forward or sidewards. u cant possibly be double pedaling with a backward motion can u?? :D
