Hello!

old man new to this forum. kek. i am inspired by an American percussionist to share and help whatever i can through the internet. internet is great. i wish i had this much info when i was growing up.

instead of replying in words which is difficult, i made a few videos to help show you a few possibilities. sorry about the lighting and my sloppy playing.. too early in the morning for so heavy $h1T.. LOL

if i never remember wrongly, i think its just alternates between the floor tom and bass just that need to be real fast for and even in order to have a better sound.

good explanation by StickmanSG. the videos are comprehensive. for the tone wise to get the similar double kick effect you might also want to consider tuning your kick an octave lower than your floor tom to get the effect. since in the video an electric kit is used it sounds nice as long as your technique and clarity of your strokes are right. it's different for an acoustic kit due to the overtones so to get the closest effect tune the kick one octave lower.
