Does it helps by remembering

Hi Guitarist,

i know it's gonna b a lame question but hope u all cud help, thanks.

1) does it really help by remembering the fretboard of the guitar ?

2) or does remembering the SOUND of each fret more impt ?

3) to remembering the scale patterns of each chord - major/minor/major pentatonic/minor pentatonic etc etc ...

by just memorising all the scales off a chord, you'd probably can memorise the whole fret board, and every sound of the string...

to recognise notes without even looking on the guitar for an example....u can even know which key the music in...
