Do you guys think this is worth 1k?

Hi all,

Need your opinion... Been looking around for a second hand kit and came across this on Yahoo auctions. Its a 2nd hand Pearl Forum Series with the following:

SABIAN Hand-hammered 16" dark crash
Piaste 14" crash
Pearl CX-300 18" Ride
Cymbal stands and 1 boom arm included
1 set sponge dampers
Free Vic Firth Sticks and a free videotape (???)

However, skins are not changed but drums are in good condition.

I have contacted the seller and he does not want to let it go for less than 1k. Well now my question is, do you think all these is worth 1k?

cymbals are worth depending on the condition... if everythings tip top on the Sabian i.e: no dings, cracks, ripples, red-devils, keyholes... than it's worth around 200 to 220... (just the crash)

the rest of the cymbals are crap.. and i guess it doesn't amount to 800 for all of those..

pearl forum has pierced through shell mounts if im not wrong too...

nope definately not worth it...

A 2nd-Hand Pearl Forum is not worth 1K at all ...... it's too expensive. 1K can get a Yamaha Stage Custom for 2nd hand liao.

the price seems to be on the high side but if the paiste is something like alphas or above,u might want to consider.personally,i'll get a new kit with the tag of 1K.a new pearl forum wouldn't even cost u this much.
