Hey guys, which dimarzio or SD pickups are good for rock? Gonna fit it into my rg.

RGs are abit thin in sound am i right? Are there any pickups that can give u that bluesy and classic rock feeling? or maybe old sch metal type?

thanks.

RG thin-sounding: not ALL models. if you read too much on others' opinion of how floating vibrato equipped RGs sound lacking in the bass spectrum, it's half true. the other half being the Dimarzio-equipped models which sound fairly balanced.

i have both Dimarzio & Duncan in my RG560 & RG1550 respectively, it really depends on your personal pref. the Dimarzio-Ibanez association is inevitable but other pickups perform equally well/ better than the Dimarzios.

if you are looking for deep bottom end to spruce-up your floating-vibrato equipped RG, the Duncan Parallel-Axis trembucker is highly recommended 8)

if you try high end RG at Swee lee you see they have DiMarzio sometime.

They also sometime have triangle direct mount leg so cannot use other pup unless you cut off part of leg
