Hi all

Just curious to know.. Which Dimarzio pickups are most suitable for SSS strats if you're looking for a classic/bluez sound.. Was tempted to try The Fast Track, Tone Zone and Air Norton.. But b4 i do anything im looking for suggestions.. Anyone can recommend me anything?

:D ?

the pickups you stated doesn't really gives that strat-style classic blues tone all that well.. those are high-powered single-coil sized humbuckers.

For blues tone.. there are plenty to choose from.. there's hs2, hs3 and area 58,61,67

try seymour duncans as well, the classic stack.. beez get nice tones out of those..

hope you find it useful

cheers

ya i agree to that...or are you looking for modern tone?
the duncan stk is great for value, cheaper than the dimarzio ans packs a punch ..

If i do want a modern tone what would you recommend :)

those that u mentioned in ur first post.

for blues, try sticking with single coils with alnico 2 magnets in them.

i like the tex mex pickups the most for classic rock or blues. nails the blackmore tone rock solid.

id go with a area 58 in neck and middle. then a area 61 in bridge. or the virtual vintage 2.1 neck and middle then the virtual vintage solo in the bridge

modern tone??

what modern tone? metal? rock? if its blues.. i don't think there's such thing as a modern blues tone..

as for rock or metal.. its has always been about the amplifier than pickups.

modern tone =more gain? go for the hotrails ...or jb junior ..
as mention ealier i like duncan compared to dimarzio..

for dimarzio i go for tonezone S ..din like fast track etc ..
