Hey fellow softies.
I have Lespaul
Here are the basic specs
Made in Korea.
Designed by me. No brand on headstock
Ebony fretboard
Set neck. neck and body mahogany.
Zebra buckers mid high output.
No pickguard. If that matters

What i didnt like was the
NUT
Frets
Electronics and tuners

The tuners are alil plasticky feels fragile when tuning but holds up fine.
Frets and a lil jagged. some of them are protruding and sometimes my 1st string
will get caught. so do i need a file or press back or refretting?

The input or output (im not sure which is it) is constantly loose and when plugged in often on off on off or suddenly a loud sound will be produce. Kinda unpleasant.
Tone and vol pot are okay. Maybe a swap of caps and pots.

Recently i was contemplating whether to upgrade my lespaul which i have been trying very hard to sell even when cheap.
Since its so hard to sell a brandless lp. should i upgrade it and stick with it. or should i try to sell it so i can get my Fender strat that ive been eyeing on for quite some time?

Is it really worth the upgrade or shld i change to a strat.
Neck diff doesnt really matter. As i am ok with either just that sometimes i need to get use to them.

Anyone cld kindly list the price down to compare will be best as im not really sure about lespaul parts.

Thanks kind people.
Cheers

A proper set up to deal with all those issues can cost you almost $200 typically considering you have to do a lot of work to the frets. My advice is to sell it off cheap and get a decent guitar once and for all. sure you might make quite a loss but it's better than spending so much fixing it up and selling it off in the end.

if it's designed by you, you should like it. it just needs a good set up but of course as ShredAddict mentioned, it's gonna cost quite a bit.

Sentimental vs Practical I guess.

yeah i didn't read that part about you liking it. could always just keep it around looking nice and get a better guitar. haha. sentimental value man. i still haven't sold my first guitar. white elephant...

What he says. But if you feel that the guitar has sentimental value to you and that you will want to use it for a longer period of time, you might want to consider upgrading it I guess.
