Digitech distributors in Singapore?

I'm looking to purchase either a Digitech rp 80 or 50. As far as I know, I've come across rp50s and 80s at Swee Lee but the price is much more than I've expected it to be. Are there any other places that carry digitech products? Where are the best locations and how much will I be expected to pay?

Thanks for the help.

hi eugenelam, what was the price you saw and what is the price you expect it to be??

hi, thanks for the fast reply

I didn't want to make a trip down so I make a phone inquiry. I was quoted $215 for an RP50 and $285 for an RP80 by the salesperson. It might be before the 10%/20% discount that I heard him mumble, but needless to say, I didn't inquire further.

Hi there. The range I'm looking at is around $150, not anywhere above the $200 range. Doesn't justify for an entry-level multi-effects pedal. Perhaps you could suggest an average price I should be looking at?

i asked about the Digitech Whammy in the shop before, and after they check here check there...they quoted $440.

i was like *jaw dropped* hah?! why so ex?
and then they go on with their crap

its supposed to be only USD200 which is == SGD331.5

331.5 vs 440

conclusion: some things you really can't buy from them

i think Sweelee is the official/sole distro in SG for Digitech.

if you want you can try buying from overseas.

The Whammy will definitely be expensive since they hold exclusive distro & demand for Whammy is high.

With regards to Sweelee selling at high prices, imo there will always come a point where people will prefer getting it overseas... so that's the signal for time to lower pricing.

sweelee is the only distributor of digitech locally. If not sweelee, either wait for someone to post classified ad selling it 2nd hand or get it over the internet. But plus the shipping and other cost, most likely you won't save much.

The prices of gear can't be compared with US prices. The shop that brings it in also need to pay for all the extras to ship in the gear, plus GST, plus mark up for some profit etc. Its a business after all.

And one thing for sure, the prices of gear locally are actually rather reasonable compared to other countries. Try buying music gear in malaysia, australia, uk or europe. The prices most likely will make sweelee's price seem like big discount....

just my 0.000cent

the dd20 sold at sweelee was only $330. US price $179 == SGD $300
$30 bucks difference is okie.

i do concur on the last part.....
try buying pedals in malaysia...
