For the MIM standard strat ? By about 100 dollars?

Wtf? Are they the only option to get a simple MIM strat ?

Ah well, chill Bro.
They have the largest range and probably the largest ready stock.

Martin raise their prices almost every year, and heard that those Martin this mid year will not be stamped "Made in USA" in their Nazareth plant but maybe "Assembled" or something like that. Because of their own western rules is tying their own hands. Any parts that's not 100% MIUSA in a component (instruments included) CANNOT be advertised as MIUSA.

Same as Gibson, they had been raided a couple of times by what??? FBI? for having CITES protected woods in their warehouse and guitars on their conveyor belt

Anyway, playing guitars is cheaper than photography. :p
Rock on, man.

I noticed they raised their prices for some Epiphones too but dropped the prices on Gibson hard cases.

Price fluctuations by corporations are usually the result of inflation and the economy etc...

There are always other options if you're looking for a MIM standard strat and if you don't mind 2nd hand, try starting a WTB thread on soft and you might find someone with one for sale. I'm not sure if there are other official Fender dealers in Singapore besides Swee Lee sadly.

Companies also need to make money, you can't blame them for raising the prices, but you can choose not to buy from them.

Funny. I just checked the website and the MIM standards are still $699. I have no idea what increase you're talking about. The Standards have been $699 for a really long time. Considering the USD exchange rate now, you're talking $708 for a standard excluding shipping and GST.
