Hi all,
I recently bought a DI box ( 1 input, 1 output, 1 balanced XLR output) for my keyboard so that I could balance out my keyboard signal when playing live.
The problem is, when I power my DI box via 48V phantom power from my audio interface, it works perfectly fine. But when I add in a brand new 9V battery and try to power it up (without phantom power), it won't work. I am very sure I have connected the 9V battery correctly.
My DI box is both active and passive. Just wondering whether am I missing something? Perhaps is there something I should know about 9V batteries?
Although I'm a keyboardist, I thought maybe you guitarists would have a stronger sense of electronics knowledge than me a keyboardist when it comes to DI box. Hence, I'm posting in the guitar section.
Hope to hear your replies soon.
