decent luthiers for custom basses

There are a couple around here in the forums from neighbouring countries.

For the moment, stay clear of Nomand or something like that. Heavy work load on him. Very very poor communication skills and lack of support provided.

I'll let you know if the situation changes, for now and find someone who can provide you with constant assurance and updates.

Yes there're. If my memory serves me right, there was one from Philippines with decent prices. Run through the threads, I remember seeing it somewhere here.

With a sub 1K budget, as I have recommended here before, I would say go with a good used production instrument. Low budget customs are just low budget instruments built to what u asked for. Doesn't mean it's any better than ur regular low end bass.

Price for a full bass is roughly around 1500 SGD for elegee takes about 3 months to do it.
