Alright I just came back. I'll post the details. DAVIS HAD A MASSIVE SHIPMENT OF BCRICH GUItARS!!! BASSES INCLUDED. I am astounded. And the buy 1 get one free, Is limited, as expected. Buy an NJ series guitar and get a body art free. Good deal I reckon. However, I would like to hear from you guys regarding the BC rich NJ series guitars. If I am not mistaken, they're the ones with speedloader tremolo. Care to shed some light? Are these a good buy? A good investment of $900?

- :D

the nj's are kinda kool but not worth the body arts man their so cheapo and made of basswood heavy and lousy

tell me wat other bcrich models they brought in eh cuz i usually only see those bodyarts in there.. did they bring in the 2004 series like bichs back? the fly and umethar?

avoid making such statements. if you dislike the guitar, fair enough, the body art models are by no means heavy & lousy.

hmm, you seem to be interested in "lousy" guitars
well, ive got a bodyart and i think it rocks, great design for such a low price
yes it might be heavy but its still worth the 380 i paid

I'm thinking of buying NJ Series Beast Bass but my friend recommend me to buy the Plantinum Beast Bass instead. So what's the different between this two? Not interested in Body Art because only the guitar have them, not bass.

the NJ models, which are on offer now, do not sport the speedloader vibrato + nut. these are the regular floyd-rose models.

yup- all the guitars on offer are black: warlock/ mockingbird/ beast. listing for $900 each.

my proposal: get someone who is interested in the Body Art model, get him to pay $100 (suggestion only, feel free to negotiate) for it, this way, you'll get your NJ for lesser 8)

the speedloader sort of killed bc rich sales because of the lack of availability of the special strings and the hassle.. imo the headstock looks strange without machineheads.. I actually think these normal FR models can fetch better resale prices than the speedloader models.. actually are there other brands that have the speedloader stock on their models? so far i've only seen bc rich

Oh man... No detail about the bass??
I just want to know is it:
Buy NJ Bass, get 1 Body Art Free or
Buy Pentinum Bass, get 1 Body Art Free or
Buy BC Rich Guitar only, get 1 Body Art Free?

*blur*
I need more detail lei.. Thinking of buying them...

im in for the body art

ok...i owned a BC rich NJ series warlock before  . It's without the speedloader just the original floyd rose trem. It is a 2002 model. the review might not reflect the models which davis got in.

i can say the playability is quite bad as the weight balance is seriously very hard to control. the neck is much more heavier than the body. do try to strap it on when u're trying out in davis.

if you're into those "flying-fingers-all-over-the-fretboard" kind of playing, i advise you not to get it. When you are "flying around the fretboard", the neck will fall further and further if your hand aint supporting it.

Other than that, you have to take care of that guitar due to its shape which is prone to chips. The guitar is slightly lighter than a Lespaul. hmmmm....and the thickness of the body is slightly thinner than that of a Lespaul.

Sound wise not bad. pickups were built for metal stuff can tahan more extreme requirements and don't go screeching here and there. :D

yea wat i mean is not the tone infact its quite good for such a low priced guitar its a rip but the basswood not really suitable

basswood is a neutral wood type, if it sounds lousy, then the pickups in the guitar are lacking. the Ibanez JS1000 is basswood, so are selected JEMs & the PGM- all have carefully selected pickups in them so the guitar would sing rather than croak.

i feel that the lacking tone in some of the BC Rich guitars is largely pickup attributable. one of the best BC Rich tone we can agree on is perhaps Mick Thompson's Warlock in IOWA. but then, there are EMGs in there...
