Hey Bongman, what about showing us your gear! I'm sure you have about the same as David Patch! Care to at least give a list of your gears? I'm really interested to know!

Anyway, I wish I can get hold of one of those KX88. They were build like a tank. Still used by many even after so many years.

All these pictures and list of gears is making us drool. Me - minimalise.

paiseh

paiseh leh... but dun play like a pro, so better not show off.

just bought a Korg Trinity (basic ver. DRS) recently at a good used price,
need to get familiar with it because it is used in the pub I'm playing on very other Sunday happy hours.

anyway, Korg Trinity does sound good - warm and sweet. However, overall sound is too sweet if it is use to sequence a piece of music. The Touch View is a break through in synth technology! *errrr* why am I talking about a 8 years old synth?

re: Yamaha MOTIF ES
maybe will get a Motif ES6 end of the year. talking about music plaza, it is such a strange experience. I tried a Motif ES6 at the showroom outside the pro audio room, the Motif ES didn't impress me but it sucks! dead, liveless sound ??!!

two days later, i passed by music plaza again and bump into a friend,
went into the pro audio room and try playing something on the Motif ES7.
WOW! this time with the proper near-field monitors, the sound is so fantastic !!! it sure pierce through right me, and the features of the synth is also excellent !!!

i wonder what flagship synth technology will Yamaha come out with next, now that they bought over Steinberg. there are a lot of talk with major magazines chief editors regarding this. anyway this is for us to see.

Tried the motif at the Music Plaza ... sounds yummylicous ...

And the Triton Extreme has astounding pads, leads sounds and effects ...

I guess it's pretty awesome combinations between the keyboards

Yeah David Paich is the man !!
