dan tian (丹田)

gooday to all,

i am new to this forum. hopes to learn lots of singing from here.
is there any gathering for the singers here?
i intro myself first,
singing chinese songs
cause i always listen to chinese songs since young.

will try to sing any songs within my limit.
but sometimes will try those very diff song like Zhang Yu Sheng songs
(sometimes will out of tune)...

din go for any lessons before....

so wan to learn here for how to use dan tian to sing.
cause i always sing till no voice....
friends say i using throat, thats why...

Haha, i also try zhang yu sheng songs before, i flip into head voice or falsetto whatever it is in the say goodbye then falsetto in remaining chorus. It better than straining badly or yelling. I alway try to stop myself from singing the part that I know I would yell. I think try that song in ktv room is ok.

I think there is a tech... where you kept your larynx down. Probably you might want to find out more from SLS.

I had been accidentally singing with keeping larynx down like someone mention that sound dopey? Which is good ways to eliminate strains? and now I am almost used to singing solo more than 3 hours constantly hardly reaching no voice. Though throat will be very dry. So you need to drink more plain water and herbal tea to replenish & cool down. Try to drink plain water during ktv and not fruit soft drinks.

Try to breath in with your mouth and then sing from time to time. I think dan tian are used automatically whenever you speak, talk loudly... Probably you might need to go deeper into dan tian if you want to sing professionally like having good wei yin, qi yin control..... That coordinate with your breath.

Please note I am not a pro, but just having a few lessons from different techique.

Right now, i just keep myself from ktv and explore my voice freely.
