Hi everyone,

Anyone who uses a practice of muff kit at home? I am using a ki with mesh heads, perfect for practice for me with as authentic feel and rebound as possible but i have problems with muting cymbals..

Are commerical cymbal mutes good enough for someone who wants a very low sound out put of practice with good authentic feel?

thanks!

i think HQ has very good drum mutes. they have cymbal mutes which cut out about 80% of the sound (that's what my ears tell me) so it's pretty good i would say

thanks bigblackbear!

where can i get HQ cymbal mute and how much do they cost?

just curious with cymbals mutes they cuts of all sustain of the cymbal rite?

I notice some drummers put rubber tape at the bottom of their cymbals in a 'square' shape, 2 and a half inches around the bell, you could try that.

thanks, but i am looking to cut off a great deal of sound but maintaining rebound, cause in rooms in HDB the echo is crazy haha =)

hello everyone,

anyone knows where can i get cymbal mutes locally> prefably those that cover over the whole cymbal as cymbals tends to rotate after playing on them for a while..

went to yamaha beatbox today but they dont carry..
