Crash Course Electric Guitar Lessons for Total Newbie

I'm looking into doing a crash course for electric guitaring in August. Anywhere in Singapore's good! Any recommendations for schools or tutors?

Seriously roastie, you'll crash the 'crash' course. Can't recommend any tutor /school to you. But I'll recommend you to be serious and committed to your love of music and electric guitar.

haha thanks beefy. well the thing is im studying away from singapore, so i'm only back for a month in august. i want to kick start it and learn as much as i can while im back home and relatively free, and continue practicing it when i go back to school.

so, again, any recommendations anybody?

most private teachers charge by the hour, so you can approach them if youre relatively free, maybe a couple of times a week if their schedules permit?

you can actually.

just go to a teacher tell him that you wanna learn it quick.

ok.

he gives you the stuff. guides you, tell you what to do.

gives you tips/advice.

then you go back home and practice your ass off. and the practicing part'll take years.

essentially, go grab a bunch of stuff from someone. then take lotsa time, patience and energy to internalize it.

well, or u can just check out some stuff online. there are lots of tutorials and stuff online to learn. and if u're not sure of anything, just ask a friend who plays the guitar fairly well.
