Craftsman Guitars

thanks! but i'm more into TL30 or TL40 but cant seem to find any reviews on these two. but thanks for your help tho! ;D

my friends owns a GS-200. It has a brighter sound than Epiphone Les Paul's. Probably attributable to the wood they use.
Whereas TL series obviously have thinner and brighter sound than the GS series.
So go ahead, test it and see if you like the sound.

1 thing I don't like about craftsman is their guitar setup.
So, I would recommend you bring it for a nice setup.

I have no experiences with their TL series.
Only tried the GS & ST series.

Craftsman guitars are pretty darn good for the money. A lot of models use maple, if I remember correctly, hence the brighter sound.

ok just to hijack abit...anyone tried the hamer CX3T yet?? the guy at the shop told me its alder body but the webby put basswood -_- didnt have time to try it yet though lol

I'm pretty sure they're basswood. Don't believe everything a salesperson tell you. Some of their other models are alder though.

I had Hamer CX2R as my 1st electric guitar, for about 2years+.
Despite being an entry-level guitar & made in china/indonesia, they're good. The guitar is light too. Easy to play with its thin neck. Action is low.

In fact, I compared it with my friend's Craftsman ST & GS guitar. Mine sounded better :D
Well for the money you're paying, its worth it.

But I have to say this...their USA production guitars are fantastic. It can easily compete with other guitar brands in the same price range.
