1st Timer here , anyone noes where i can buy the crafter D6/N guitar in SG ?
Any shops selling it ?
Where is the main distributor ?

And isit a decent guitar for a Beginner ? :)
Been playing for 6+ months now :)

Thanks in advance ! :)

not sure how it sounds, but bras basah complex ranking sports and music has quite a few crafters they're the distributors i think, sadly they do not have a website. i've tried a few and they sound great, quite valued for money too. too bad they didnt bring in the higher end ones.

Ranking Sports & Music like Heavynoize said. I've also seen a couple of Crafters floating round Peninsular. I almost bought a Crafter which was quite awsome...........then I tried a Recording King, and I bought the latter instead, haha. I think it is best you try a range of guitars la, see what you like. Can give you a headstart with a few brands like Maestro, Takamine, Yamaha, Recording King, Ibanez, Epiphone, etc. Try the Crafter too, its not bad, but just not the guitar for me.

i see crafters at ranking (bras basah) and music theme (excelsior). yes i was attracted to one of the solid top models.

anyway, why that particular model though u dont know much about it?

A friend recommended crafter guitars.
I saw 1 on9 which i seem to like ( D6N ) though i havent really tried it out so i dunno wheter i will like the sound or not. Will head over and try it out soon :)

When u said i dunno much about the guitar do u mean the materials on it ? i dun really noe how different material affect e tone of e guitar and whether it is good or not
Care to enlighten me ? :)
i do noe abt the solid wood and laminated wood thingy though :)

Juz FYI my budget is around $200-400 though i dun really mind paying a little bit higher if i find a guitar i really like.

haha yeah i meant like, since u dont know much about guitar, i assume that u based ur opinion on how it looks like? i think that it is more appropriate for an electric guitar rather than acoustic ones.

maybe u wanna do a simple research on:
- acoustic guitar shapes
- laminated, solid top, full solid
- different wood = different sound

anyway, i took a look at the model u refer to, and if im not wrong, thats the model i'm eyeing too! if it is that model, its available at ranking for around $540.

Actually, while you are at Ranking, you might want to try Jack and Danny guitars as well. They offer some really good specifications for a lower price, and it's also quite a well-reputed brand here.

Not saying you shouldn't buy the Crafter, but do try out some other brands as well. Even within Crafter, one model may suit you and another might not, so word of advice, don't fix yourself on one particular model yet. Go and try a few and decide which you like best.

With that kind of money I'd for for the Swing Acoustics.Tried them and I really like the sound and feel of it.

Some models to show.

Haha wow u muz be really a pro to even do such research
I have read about the different wood = different sound quality on a website aft u told me to do so though i feel that as long as it sounds nice to my ears its a good guitar :)
And im very sure i want a solid top.
Thanks alot :)

@ EugeneSmasher
Will do so
The only reason i asked about that model was coz a friend recommended and i havent tried any other brands but ill definitely try out others
Thanks alot for e advice :)

@ Dime
Hey thanks for e recommendation.I guess its more of personal preference when it comes to guitars :)

Haha well, it's normal to do such research before buying something, having a basic understanding will perhaps give u a better feel of the guitar and why it behaves in the way it does, like cedar tops wif a smaller volume but more mellow tone or the spruce wif a big loud song, it greatly depends on what you're going for. and there's the thing about the neck radius. i made that mistake with my FG750s. i was very much into plucking cos i'm classically trained, so now i've kinda regretting the small 11/16 fret of the dreadnaught. yup so think carefully, try out as many as you want. even those out of your price range just to get a feel of things^^ goodluck!

RuiQi: nah i'm not a pro. i've been playing for less than 2 years. i'm just a curious person by nature, and like many other young people here who are students, i dont have much money. so i'd better make sure i know what i'm buying. doesnt take a lot to research. thank god for internet. imagine life without it. ;) took me a few mins to learn about the difference of laminated, solid top, full solid thing. still, i'd recommend u spend a day going to all guitar shops in singapore (at least go to bras basah, penin/excelsior n peace ctr)and try the guitars in person. much better than spending a week or month trying to learn something w/o trying them urself.

goodluck in ur search!
