Cradle of Filth is an English extreme metal band that formed in Suffolk in 1991. The band's musical style evolved over the years to a cleaner and more "produced" amalgam of gothic metal, symphonic metal with the intense use of keyboards. Their lyrical themes and imagery are heavily influenced by gothic poetry, mythology and some said horror movies.
The band has a total of 10 albums to date. They just released a brand new album “Manticore and other horrors” in Oct 2012. Cradle of Filth was Nominated in 2005 in the Grammy Award for “Best Metal Performance”.
