crack on the guitar

hi guys, do you think a small crack near the jack input of a guitar, will affect the tone a lot. what if the crack is not visible after it's mended. i can get a new guitar 3/4 the price because the shop owner accidentally dropped it. and he says he would mend it (no crack would be seen) and sell me 3/4 the original price. is it a good deal. it's just a little crack, and the guitar is brand new.

finish crack or a crack at the point the body wood is joint? Wont affect tone much but a body crack could lead to other problems in future.
