Cover artwork for new Slayer album

I'm glad that Dave Lombardo is finally back in the band. Paul Bostaph was good for the band then... but Lombardo owns the throne!

I'm just curious... There was nothing being mentioned on the Slayer site regarding this new album. Where ya get the artwork from?

wowww! that is something... but looks like a Korn cover... hmmmmmm... something wrong with my eyes there!

i still like their Seasons In Abyss cover. something like a crazy/insane guy would draw when given a box of crayons.

OK, I'm the photoshop abuser. I confess! Guilty as charged! Arrest me!!!

But seriously, there's no way Slayer would put out a cartoonish album cover artwork like that is there? So far it's always been blood, satan, goats, skulls and devils with them. Do Slayer have any sense of humour at all? Does anyone know?

Hah! That's why I find it weird and was pretty suspicious too... Plus I dun think Slayer would give such a lame title like "See You On The Other Side". And there was nothing being mentioned on the Slayer site as well... Good effort though....

Yes, I do think they have. They may look all devilish and serious, but if you watch their home-videos, you'll see that they do joke around often and say and do stupid funny stuffs all the time. In fact, alotta metal bands are like that. :butthead:

Dude, your collage of 80s hard rock bands blows me away to hell and back , seriously! Yeah a lot of people perceive them to be this self-absorbed evil heavy metal musicians from hell, but clearly they're just like you and me -- albeit with more tattoos and crazyass facial hair. But what I don't get is, despite their leanings towards an anti god/christ persuasion (their latest album featured a bloody bible with nails sticking on it), singer Tom Araya is actually a Catholic Christian. That is weird, dude! It's like a contradiction. But hey, I guess that is his personal beliefs. Maybe he recognises the band and his faith as two separate entities.

Hey, one more thing, did you watch the Still Reigning DVD? When the band walked offstage drenched in fake blood after their set, there was this HOT, HOT woman wearing nothing but a VERY see through top with what appears to be black tape over her nipples walking next to Tom Araya. Is that his wife or something? My god, Araya has got it goin' on man! No doubt that's the higlight of the DVD...well at least for me...

No... I didn't notice that lady. But now that you mentioned it, I need to go back and check tonight!

But one thing that I found funny was that everyone got completely drenched in blood... except Jeff Hanneman! He said in an interview that he missed the cue to stand on the spot. Hahaha... maybe that was an excuse from him!

Oh you gotta check it out. But you have to be super alert cos that particular scene is very fast. Blink and it's over.

Yeah, I was wondering why he was pretty dry, but his friend Araya looked as if he just swam out of an oil slick accident or something. He said he couldn't really play his bass but just had to bang on it to make some noise. Poor bass...

Well, I definitely think he improved his bass-playing these days somehow. But I thought he was kinda bad in the early days. If you have the "Soundtrack To Apocalypse" boxset, watch the early-days live footage on the DVD. There were definitely a couple of missed and wrong notes being played here and there. 8O
