Hi,

I am interested in this CORT GB75 5 strings bass guitar. Does anyone has any comment about this bass? Thanks.

Good bass. Sounds more aggressive on the top end and midrange than other MM/J combos like Laklands. Slightly less bottom end than I'd like but nothing a small tweak on the amp didn't fix.

I think they make the Skylines as well. Cort does lots of building for other companies.

Thanks jbarks.
I've watched some videos on YouTube about this bass and it does has a good slap tones for funk stuff. I like its tone and cool look. This will be my first CORT bass if I am buying it, as I never played or owned a CORT before. By the way, does this bass come with a gig bag? What about the weight, light or heavy weight? Thanks.

No idea if it comes with a bag. The weight was pretty alright—I've played heavier Lakland Skylines and MIJ/MIM Fenders. B-string was pretty tight too, which is a good thing.

hmmm... I don't know.... but to me it sounds too "electric". too much "twang" and no "ooommph".

so sound wise I can only give it a 7/10 :(

The bass overall is great. specially with the ash body maple neck and hipshot style tuners and bridge. but I think the problem is the pickups, I bet if you change the pickups to barts + aguilar preamp it would sound pretty amazing.

Thanks guys. When I confirm buying this bass, I have planned to change the pickup + preamp to a better one. Morlock, your suggestion of pickup + preamp is my 1st choice too..

changing the pups + pre going to hit u for like $500-600!! already + cost of bass. why not get a 2nd hand EBMM?

Hi Lordie, thanks for your suggestion. Well, I don't plan to change the pups + preamp immediatelly after I got the bass. I would use it for awhile, maybe a year or so. If I am not happy with its tone, I would upgrade it gradually or I could use it with my sadowsky outboard preamp. By the way, I am not a big fan of EBMM..:) My dream bass is a Sadowsky bass..:) Cheers.
