help to set up 802

HI Mac..

I have inherited a pair of Bose 802 II Series Unfortunately i do not have the manuals for this. As you own a pair of similar speakers i hope to have some advise from you regarding hooking up the system.
Along with the Bose 802 II series, i have a 802 C Series II system controller and a Bose 1800 Series V pro amp. As am very new to this system and before i can try fixing other gizmos like mixer, mic, equalizer etc. i just wanted to know how do i connect a CD player to this system to play music in a auditorium.
My question may be the most stupid one, but the fact remains that i have not been able to plug the system.

Thank you in advance

Thanks Mac.

I have the
1.) bose 802 series II Speakers 1 pair
2.) bose 802 C Series II System Controller
3.) bose 1800 series V Pro amp.
4.) Espirit Sound Folio FX8
5.) Peavey Q 231F Dual 31 bad graphic equilizer

As am very very new to this system, the first phase would be to learn how to connect the bose system to play just from CD, and later on with time, would like to bring in the mixer and the equalizer. So it would be very great of you, to advise me. thanks

Easiest...

CD Player ---> bose 1800 series V Pro amp--> bose 802 series II Speakers

Then...

CD Player ---> bose 802 C Series II System Controller --> bose 1800 series V Pro amp--> bose 802 series II Speakers

Then...

CD Player ---> Peavey Q 231F Dual 31 bad graphic equilizer--> bose 802 C Series II System Controller --> bose 1800 series V Pro amp--> bose 802 series II Speakers

Finally...

CD Player ---> Espirit Sound Folio FX8-->Peavey Q 231F Dual 31 bad graphic equilizer--> bose 802 C Series II System Controller --> bose 1800 series V Pro amp--> bose 802 series II Speakers

DON'T try hooking anything gear between the poweramp and speakers. Other than that you cant go wrong.

Thanks for your advise, i did it the way you have mentioned (last combination) but got some humming sound, there is a small switch at the rear side of the controller, tried fiddling with that but it did not improve, The humming sound is less audible when the faders on the mixer are 0, Would you mind throwing some light on this. thanks in advance.
