Hi,
anyone used either of this book before? Would like to have your opinion on them. The books are:
1) Guitar Fretboard Workbook.
2) Fretboard Mastery.

Both are from Hal Leonard publisher.

I don't know alot of dudes that uses books to learn. Their helpful yes but rather expensive. You could ask to open it up and see if you would benefit from what they teach.

Best to get a sight reading book, a scale application book, maybe a jazz theory/jazz chord book to keep as references. But everything else, there's youtube.

opinion on books

Hi,

i have read through fretboard mastery before and i think its not too bad a book since it covers quite a number of topics and of course the cds provided help much with the examples.

however i think it comes across as being too general, so if you are the kind that likes to be told what to practice rather than to devise your own practice after being given the necessary information then this book might be not be good.

whats your aim in choosing between both books?

Hmm. I guess my aim would be having a learning reference to learn and be more fluent on the fretboard. Knowing how scale and chords relates and etc.
