OK.

honest to goodness. i need some opinions.

i was planning to use my analogman ts9 as a boost, into a lovepedal eternity initially, then i stumbled upon a cmatmods tube slammer deluxe.
some like the middish OD, some like it dark.. aiyoh. now i cant decide! heh. most prob, i'll get both the eternity and the cmatmods for tonal variety, but i just want some feedback on how the pedal sounds, for blues, be it texas blues ala srv, or chicago blues ala gary moore, and even for music from jimmy eats world and that genre!
how bout it!

anyone have experience with the deluxe?

The E is now around USD350.

I wanted to get 1 to try but the price... UGH.

There's this SOFTie who has the E... hehehe...

Consider the Skreddy Screwdriver too, www.skreddypedals.com , most excellent fuzz/od/dist pedal, very touch sensitve too.

yep i was there look-seeing then suddenly from 289 -blink- 329
FWAH

yep i do know which softie has the E 8) but to my knowledge, there are diff types of E's out there.. the sunburst ones, and the regular ones.. aesthetically got alot of diff, but from the tgp forums they say tonal wise, there is a lot of diff.

haha skreddy.. the mayo is on my hitlist.. :)

you have the screwdriver too right?
i have yet to find the time and ppl to try both side by side tho

Let me know when you wanna try my Screwdriver or the Blackstone.

Have you checked the Blackstone MOSFET overdrive out? Heh.

I've sent the Screwdriver to Marc of Skreddy for a few upgrades though, he has a smokey mod...

Actually its $329. Last time was $289 and before that $259. It's going to reach the status of the Klon OD before you know it. Especially if they discontinue the burst coloured one.

The chip used also affects the sound. Try the White Dragon while they still have it in stock. Its a very very versatile pedal. From Fuzz to OD to Dist to Treble booster, it probably covers it all.

Eh. So who has the E?

Anyway, nicky, at the end of the day, we're all on the learning journey, developing our taste for tone.

With that in mind, the path you are going to take will cost you man.... those pedals you mentioned, all of them rock the house, its just a matter of taste.

Hope you find what you want. ;)

Eh lifehouse, I need to meet up with you! 8)

Hahaha... alrighty.

Nope, let it go liao... Its nice though... :P You wanna try?

I wanna try some other efx too, Antelope Morning Dew EQ is one, lets meet up and discuss lah...

hold the horses. we have the amp thingy to do first. our JCM friend is getting his cab soon hurhrurhurhu i sense it comign in a week or so.

SHO!!! the clips literally gave me a super.. it blew me away la. haha but come to think about it, it prolly works best when you're running an already overdriven tube amp, a kinda mild OD amp, so yeah, not my piece of cake.. YET.

Lifehouse "Anyway, you just started the most decent thread in "Gear - Guitar" for this month." : hahaha yep, its about time eh? enuff about all the stuff you can either google or HC. time for serious, thought provoking talk!

to ciel: leave the amp/cab discussion out first? 8) or betta still, start a serious amp/cab thread! haha. :D

but then again, ods to go hand in hand with TOOBS!

shred, ive added you, time for you to add me. :D

Yup. I'm hoping it (SHO) will stack with the E and make it even nicer. Worse come to worse, it's still a very decent boost on its own.

I have a Vintage Tone Project KGB, supposed to be very similiar to a SHO, we can a/b it, and find out if a USD100 product can beat that USD200 SHO!
