Cleaning LCD screen?

as stated above anyone know any particular solutions to gettin rid of smudges or dirt on the screen.. i believe smudgin water and wiping it with a cloth wouldd dmge the screen ?

anyway ts, almost all solutions have some water content in it. so i doubt water will harm your lcd screen. most probably, its the cloth thats gonna cause problems.

nvm forget it.. and i thought that there would be someone here who actually knows...
@funktastic i tried water but it didnt really get rid of the marks.. i was thinkin of something proper cleaning agent, more importantly something easily accessible to..

Most screen cleaners simply contain a portion of isopropyl alcohol and distilled water. Use a microfibre cloth and not any normal cloth too..
