Cleaning Guitar with Mahogany body

I just bought a new guitar made of mahogany as its body. Is there any special measurement needed to clean its body??I previously used dunlop 65 to clean my previous guitar..

What guitar? It's the finish that counts, not so much of the wood. By measurement do you mean cleaning solutions/liquids?

what guitar is it? dunlop 65 can clean almost every guitar so shouldn't be a problem. like J.custom said, what finish is your guitar? Don't ever polish a matt finished guitar. it'd become gloss.

It's Ibanez RG321MH. It's black in colour and it's matt finished I supposed. What I mean is that can I use the liquid such as dunlop 65 to remove ths dust and clean the guitar??thanks

which means yours is like the one depicted above (mine).

1. cleaning away dust- you don't need a polish fluid, just wipe away with dry cloth/ use a soft-bristled brush
2. a dry cloth wipe-down is enough for this finish type. if you choose to use a spray-type polish fluid, it won't do any harm to your guitar but it won't enhance the finish either... well maybe it helps address the smudges/ prints left behind

@relinquish69: so i means I shouldn't use dunlop 65 to clean the guitar body? Because if i'm not mistaken it's also used to polish guitars, right?confused..

IMO can be used to clean off the dirt but of course, don't use the cloth to rub the body as if you are trying to kiwi your boots black. just spray and wipe off accordingly should be good.

Matt finishes gloss up over time. I wouldn't be too concerned if I were you.
