damn went citymusic today and saw the craftsman lespaul going for $405!!!!, whereas luther is selling it for $325. Is the price fix for citymusic or are they going to discount it further..

yah, usually they give discount for any walk in customer. do you know any friends who are students in citymusic school? can ask them to get, got another few percent more of discount.

Erm have another question should i get the craftsman lp or shud i save up a little more for a epiphone.

if u get a craftsman, it's cheaper but the pups are muddy, like epiphone. but some epis (most i mean) have set necks which craftsman dont have...but the pups are still muddy...

get a tokai

oh so the diff between the craftsman lp and epi is the set necks ??
Tokais are pretty expensive and out of my budget

bolt necks and set necks are different. set necks decrease chance of fretbuzz, and nicer to play. bolt on is different.

but for me, i'll go for a J&D (same OEM as craftsman) and change the pups since J&D LPs are only $285? and made of alder i think???

hmm you mean J&D lps are of the same configuration as the craftsmans 1 ?? So its not advisable to get a epi ..

i dont but i've played one before. the finish is great for smth that cheap! but the cost of upgrading pups for a cheaper LP will be lesser than a stock epi, and still sound better!

or u can look into the 2nd hand market. what's ur budget?

i see. there's a guy selling his epi LP for $360. i think he had it set up and stuff it sounds real good! it's LP custom i think...

what's his name? i forgot but go check OM he recorded a demo
