Chinese and Canto Rock.

Well was thinking of making one. Once influenced by a HK band called Beyond. Till now actually, still like them quite alot. Cool rock band, plays lotsa love songs, and also rock songs. Been in the scene for 20 yrs. Just released an album not long ago, about their 20 yrs stuffs i think.

Wondering if anyone into canto and chinese rock. Are there actually any gigs for chinese and canto rock? I mean i rarely see that around, most metal, rock but all english songs.

And also, anyone interested in making such a band? : )

I used to follow Beyond until the lead singer (Wong Kai Kui) was killed in an accident. Still have their greatest hits video with me.

I occasionaly like Tai Chi. which is also a Canto rock band that is Beyond's contemporary. Don't know whether they are still together.

Canto rock (and pop) has been in decline since Beyond became a threesome and HK was handed over to China in 1997. The in thing is now M-pop, J-pop/rock, K-pop/rock and Hokkien Rock from Wu Ba.

Yeah heard of Tai Chi. Not quite bad. I'm still listening to Beyond though, even though KaKui had passed away. Anyway so no one interested in forming a canto/chi rock band? Or maybe try something different like chi/canto METAL band? Lol... Just a suggestion.
