Charlie Wilson is dead.
Incidentally, I was reading “Charlie Wilson’s War” this morning while on the ‘throne’. Picked it up at Popular for $4/- (yeah true) last week. Now at pg 85.
“As the world now knows, his efforts & exploits helped repel and invader, liberate a people, and bring the Cold War to a close,” said Defense Secretary Robert Gates.
Gates forgot to mention:
His clandestine work together with the CIA also changed and haunted the world till today.
(eg. the situation in Afghan, the ongoing Terror War, 9/11, distrusts amongst religions, paranoia, long waiting time at airport check-ins, the price of chicken rice (jk)…. etc. etc.)
Sigh…. just my opinion.
