Change my power supply

Hi all,

Am currently using a one spot adaptor to power up a korg pitch black, vox sac, love pedal amp 11, mxr cc, Morley volume pedals. Thinking of getting changing the delay or distort plus get a reverb. Should I change my power supply too?

Need to know specifically which new pedal(s) you intend to get. Otherwise it's like asking "I want to get a pet, should I buy dog food or cat food?" without knowing whether you want a dog or cat, or maybe even end up with a hamster.

mmmm okay! thanks cheesedaele for your advice.. i thought of a nice reverb. like maybe one of the EHX holy series. But sadly one spot doesn't support their power usage.

Thought of changing the CC to a dd20 or nova or maybe even a vox time machine.

Looking for a crunchier distortion though.. any recommendations?

No problem. Yup that's exactly right, see, need to know your power requirements before you go hunting for a new power supply.

If you're referring to a TC nova delay or repeater, those usually come with their own power adaptors because they run best on 12V, and each has hefty power draw (about 300ma I think, I'm not very familiar with them). Possible to chain off a One Spot / Godlyke, as relinquish69 said just make sure you keep track of the total draw and stay at least a little bit below the max. The DD20 also being a digital pedal is a power hog as well, 200ma I think. But on the plus side, it runs fine at 9V.

If you don't mind a dedicated power supply like the T-Rex chameleon/fueltank or the Cioks ones you get the flexibility of being able to power different voltages and current draw, so you could get those EHX boxes, or others with weird power requirements.
