Hmm.
I do believe you will be able to find a suitable guitar DYI book in the national library which will teach you how to stick on a set of string on to your axe.
Asking someone to do it for you is one thing (think of the extra cost you will incur) but doing it yourself means you can stand up on your own two feet, and use your backbone. It's not hard once you've given it a try. It's like learning how to ride a bike.
Do it yourself. Learn. Make mistakes if you have to. I do believe if you have the passion for playing guitar, maybe at least you could have the passion of how to take care and maintain it.
But by all means, if you find someone to help you do it, ask him/her to teach u as well.
