Hi all,
A good foundation is important for picking up classical instruments. There is a need for someone experienced to guide you and to correct you regarding body posture, hand shape, intonation, and even when you want to pick and choose a good instrument from shops.
I am offering individual cello lessons from rates of $50/hr (for beginners)
Group lessons for pairs can be arranged as well, contact me at 917o1351 to enquire about the rates.
My own cello and lesson materials will be provided for you for the first few lessons.
As you progress, it would be recommended to have your own personal instrument for self practice at home in between lessons.
I have been learning the cello for more than 10 years. I have attained my diploma for cello performance from Trinity College (ATCL).I am also actively engaged in the classical music scene in Singapore, being in several respectable western and chinese ensembles. Some notable appointments include:
-Sectional Leader, NUS Symphony Orchestra (2008-2011)
-Musician, Dinyi Music Company, ( http://www.dingyimusic.com/our-family/musicians.html )
I am also currently a cello instructor for CCAs in school ensembles
