I was just wondering whether a les paul styled guitar would fit in a dreadnought guitar case, in other words an acoustic case as it seems. I obiviously don't own a case so any input would be appreciated.
seems like it can fit, but it might move a lot inside, better get a hard case for LP, that is if you really want a hard case...else, a well-cushioned soft case will do...
+1 to well padded soft gig bag...Putting a guitar in an ill-fitting hardcase simply defeats the purpose....
I actually thought of something like that some times back bro....Because the fact that I have a couple of different guitar types....a Les Paul, a strat, an ES335 copy and an Acoustic, so I thought of just buy 1 case that can fit them.....
so, I bought a warwick softbag that is made for Standard acoustic(dreadnoaught)
Does anyone have these cases? apparently they have no problems storing strat type bodies, does anyone know that a les paul will fit well in it or not at all?
Get a hardcase meant specifically for Les Pauls. Don't get one meant for other body shapes. The cutting of the cushioning inside, while it can fit the Les Paul, may not offer the optimum protection, especially for the neck.
