I have a carpet to have my drumset on , and i clean it often .
but my room still gets so dusty , and i have allergy since young .

so do all of you use carpet ? i was wondering if i can change the carpet to those "ABC" rubber puzzle , i don't know whats that called , just those alphabet puzzle instead of a carpet .

will it works ?

or if no , how do you guys clean your carpet properly ? i just vacuum it . but doesn't seems to work .

Thanks .

Cannot use rubber mats bro?. No hassle of cleaning and the drums will stay in the same position.

If you still insist on carpets, there are not so thick furry carpets, easier for cleaning. There are also carpets with rubber at the bottom for more friction.

Hope this helps!

Just change to the alphabet mat! haha i think it will work the same. seems logical, i do not use the abc mats but i think it will work. becuz, the mat can be thicker then a normal carpet! however as it is rubber its not soft like carpet, it may not absorb and dampen the sound of your drums as much when compared to you carpet. but i think it is still more impt to play your drums comfortably without your allegies then with and a slightly different sound. GO FOR IT!

Thanks alot ! Was expecting someone to say that they're using ABC mats too .
Will try using those .. hopefully it works . if not i'll be wasting money on those useless puzzles .

haha i dun use the abc mats but i think they may work.. haha if it doesn't work. then use as deco la! spell your name!! or bands name.. haha damn cute seh

Is not about the sound difference I guess that matters. But the feel is different too I guess. The abc mat has suspension cos is made of rubber. You have to play long enough until the air are compressed then is stable. Does this makes sense in physics terms? lol. I don't have allergic for dust though, so no experience. Go ahead and try!! Who knows it suits you, doesn't cost much right?

Cheers

just use rubber mats (for toilets?)..don't use the abc mats. tried and tested. they will get imprints in them afetr a while and the shape will come apart. not very useful..unless you can find a one-piece mat that is similar but uses memory foam so that it will return to it's regular shape instead of having imprints in the foam.
