any1 haf any idea wads the value of the capacitor found on volume knobs on some guitars that prevent tone loss when you roll down the volume

220K resistor.
Above specs for Fender Am Deluxe strat. You can change a bigger/smaller value cap for less/more tone loss, i forgot which is which though.

would it work on an h-s-h style pickup config? assuming dat im using a 500k volume pot?

this mod works for all types of guitar 
after installing the cap thou, you may want to tinker a bit with the values later to find the amount of tone that u may want to prevent from losing.
again... sorry but i currently can't find my stuff for the cap values & corresponding tone changes pages. if u want u can drop down to the National Library and find this book "Do-It-Yourself Projects for Guitarists". there's some cap stuff on this vol mod u can find inside the book.
