Can this cable be used as a hookup cable snake?

After doing up a BOM for this looper of mine , it dawned onto me that it would probably cost me quite a bit of time + strength to wrestle with guitar patch cables. Not to mention that the length of the patch cables could possibly cause interference with surrounding EMF sources.

Background information:-

I've decided to rack base my effects, so its much easier on the back and to transport, since I already have to deal with a mixer.

Decided to build a 13 loop true bypass switch, accompanied with 1 tuner out (mute) switch and a toggle switch to route the last loop to stereo.

The drawback of this is that I would have 27 or so patch cables , approximately 2-3 metres in length terminating from the rack and the bypass strip.

Possible solution?

By using this Cable I would be able to make the bypass switch purely a footswitch, and the patch panel can then be rack based. Thereby cutting down the length of patch cables going to and from the patch panel. (2-3 foot) And reducing the huge bundle of cables that would possibly run from the rack to the bypass strip.

Now the question is, is it possible to use those individual cable conductors as hookup cable? Considering they are all shielded and already have individual channels marked. And also that its labelled a "microphone cable" and what I'm actually doing is patching the footswitch to the output jack of the patch panel.

Lets say Channel 1 , 2 red and 2 white conductors. The red will be wired to the "send" jack and the white will be wired to the "return" jack of the loop. With the braided copper shield connected to the ground.

Any chances of having a problem with the signal? This might seem like a stupid project, but it would eventually save a lot of time setting up. Also, this will make it very easy to control rack based processors. I have the MX200 that will be used with the bypass strip that I couldn't before because there was almost no way of switching it off when playing.

Thanks in advance.
