Can string conditioner clean body too?

I'v recently found out that the string conditoner can wipe off the fingerprints easily and make it shine. Not only that it can make your rosewood fretboard look richer in colour if u apply more on the fretboard. I wonder will it affect the guitar if i apply some on the body and wipe off finger prints? This should be body and fretboard friendly right? So it acts like a body cleaner and a rosewood lemon oil too? I really hope there no negative effects on it. And best it could do many things without buying too many bottles.

which string conditioer brand is this?

in any case, string cleaners are spirit-based, this has a solvent effect. it removes adhesive & grime quite easily but on the long run, it has an exfoliant effect on lacquer finished instruments.

Oh I use Dunlop string cleaner. OMG hope it does not affect much of it cause I'v only tried to use it once on the body.

yup stains can b removed but its oilbased,so itll create a layer of grime on ur axe...so itll b bad..best if u use guitar polish..gt a proper cleanin kit or mite screw up ur guitar..

Hey guys... I'v just went to Yamaha and I'v bought Snarling Dog guitar polish. I think that is more like a guitar buffer though it says can remove bleamishes and has more functions but It's pretty hard to wipe off goto wipe afew times. Imagine by just wiping guitar can train muscles! phew. I think I'll just go and buy Dunlop light use one. Easier to wipe off. Cause I just need to get those fingerprints off.

sometimes, whatever polish fluid you apply becomes difficult to wipe off because of one elementary ommission- after applying it on a certain cloth surface (& spreading it), use a clean cloth surface (devoid of any fluid whatsoever) & wipe it away/ polish... :roll:

why not just get the dunlop guitar finish cloth? it wipes prints and all nice and easy without using any chemicals, its slightly expensive but definitely worth it. (its the black one)

yah i saw it before.... normal cloth oso can wipe off fingerprints but harder. issit easier using that cloth to wipe off?

Lol, my string cleaner (Old D'Andrea) even has a warning not to wipe any other surface other than strings.
