Guys, I am kind of new to all these single pedals.

And yes, once again I need some help.

Currently, I have these pedals:

- Beringher Preamp Booster
- Boss DD-3
- Boss CE-5
- Boss DS-1
- Visual Sound Jackyl & Hyde
- Digitech DF7 (Distortion Factory)
- Korg DT-10 Tuner
- And going to add a GCB-95 next week.

Currently, my setup is: Beringher Preamp Booster -> Boss DD-3 -> Boss CE-5 -> Boss DS-1 -> Visual Sound Jackyl & Hyde -> Digitech DF7 (Distortion Factory) -> Korg DT-10 Tuner..

Can you guys tell me the best combination to place the pedals on the pedalboard? Ya for now, I guess that's the "line-up" in my pedal. Am quite happy with it, but would appreciate comments and advice from u gurus (lao jiaos) here la. Haha.

Thanks so so much! :D

PS: Oh ya guys, what is the differences in the placing of the pedals? I am thinking of adding another DD-6 to the line-up too when Swee Lee has stock..

hi ttimothyy,

You can try doing a search in the forums. This topic had been discussed many times.

The most likely answer you would get is still...... no right or wrong.... just try try try. Even if it sounds funny but you like it, stick to it.

But lets say..... if you try try try but you can't hear any difference..... then... stick to combination for a certain period of time, once your ear gets used to it..... then mess with the combination.

Nevertheless, there are some "guidelines", the reason why you see why people always place their wah, compressor at the start of their signal chain.....

For that "guideline"...... you can find it here: http://www.bossus.com/bugonline/how_to.asp?art=order

Hope that all helps.... :D

Hmm.

Hi ttimothyy, I would suggest you place your wah first, then followed by the dirt pedals in the signal chain The dirt pedals can then link to the pre-amp booster which acts as a clean boost followed by the modulation pedals (chorus, delay). Regarding the tuner, I would suggest you get an a/b box for a tuner out because tuners have a buffered bypass and you already have enough buffered bypass pedals in your chain as it is. So...

guitar -> a/b box (tuner out) -> GCB-95 -> DS-1 -> VS J&H -> DF7 -> preamp booster -> CE-5 -> DD-3 -> amp

hope this helps
