Learn to play your favourite songs in just two lessons! We guarantee you will not only be able to play basic beats, but also popular tunes.
Drummer/Percussionist Joshua Poh will bring you on a rhythmic journey in the comfort of your own home. We will provide both lesson materials and a free Cajon that you will get to keep, there’s nothing like getting to keep the first Cajon that you have ever played on!
Priced at $350 (inclusive of Cajon) for 2x 90MINS private lessons, you will learn the foundations of rhythm, the different voices of a Cajon and how to use them musically. You will also be taught basic techniques, basic beats/rhythms and of course, how to play along to songs (be it popular hits or songs of your choice).
Students who progress at a faster pace will be taught additional techniques and exercises that will be useful when playing to songs which are more challenging. After all, you will have a Cajon in your own home for practice after the first lesson.
Group lessons are also available and will have a maximum of 5 students, priced at $250/pax for 2x 90MINS lessons. Price is inclusive of a Cajon that you will get to take home. Location will be central and confirmed once the group has reached the enrolment of 5 students (tentatively location will be at Hong Lim Complex in Chinatown).
Corporate group bonding Cajon lessons can also be discussed, just drop us an enquiry and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
Further arrangements can be made for students who are interested in continuing Cajon lessons or if they are keen on picking up the drum set.
Joshua Poh is a drummer/cajon player who has performed with artiste such as The Sam Willows, Nathan Hartono and Sezeiri Sezali. With nearly ten years of experience as an educator teaching students from 5 to 70 years of age (in a group or private context), your lessons will be both beneficial and interesting, catered to your learning speed and style.
Joshua has a Rockschool Grade 8 certification in the drums, a Berklee Master Certificate in Writing and Producing and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Finance, he has tutored several students in the Rockschool Examinations with a 100% pass rate.
