Dear All,
I'm teaching the cajon. I teach from home. I teach from home, and I live at Fernvale Road, located at Sengkang (close to Jalan Kayu area).
I teach the cajon in three stages:
- Beginner
- Intermediate, &
- Advanced
Beginner
In the beginner's stage, you'll be playing the cajon and
- learning hand techniques,
- rudimentary work,
- grooves/rhymic cycles,
- rhythmic patterns
- & more.
Note: the grooves and beats you'll learn include Rock, Surf, Disco, Middle-Eastern, Blues, Latin-American, Carribean & more.
Intermediate
In this stage, you will be playing the cajon together with accessories, in particular the foot tambourine. You will be learning
- hand-foot coordination,
- manipulation of rhythm,
- limb independence,
- concept of solo-ing,
- ideas in presentation of your instrument,
- creating an identity,
- & more.
Advanced
Here, you will be playing the cajon with the addition of more accessories, in particular
- the foot block,
- cymbals, &
- heck sticks.
You will be learning
- complex rhythmic patterns involving all four limbs
- total limb independence,
- concept of solo-ing,
- creating a unique individual identity,
- the subtle nuances of creating stage presence
- & much more.
PM me for more information.
In the meantime, keep the rhythm going!
Warm regards,
