Buzzy Acoustic

Hi i have recently purchased a second hand takamine. the prev owner had lowered the action of the guitar, as he only does finger plucking on it. whenever i strum it hard the string buzzes, esp the first three strings. However, when i pluck or strum softly the buzz goes away. May I know how much i need to fix this problem ? Also, how long would it take for the adjustments? I might be dropping off the Taka off at maestro
