I know this topic had been discussed dozens of times. I've search through the forum, but cant find the problem ppl were having quite exactly as mine. So, i gotta resort to posting a new thread, hope u guys dun mind.

And yeah back to business...

Firstly my gears : TGM legend series strat
Smarvo 15 watt amp
MD-2 (mega distortion)

When i plugged everythin in , ready to jam , there is always the loud buzzing sound affecting my playing. It is freakin' irritating as the buzzing sound is almost as loud as the sound i play. First , i thought it was the setting. But when MD2 dist and gain boost is turned lower, it dun sound heavy enough, for my metal playing. When its higher, the buzzing sound screamed.Maybe the Pedal is faulty?Or izzit my "low quality gears" that are affecting this sort of things to happen?Cuz i couldnt afford better amps and gtrs.

I am willing to post pics and stuffs later.

Thanks.
Cheers:mrgreen:

well usually distortion amps will result in buzzing or humming. even worse with a high output pickup. i myself use a tgm les paul and a metal zone. my pickup has low output so there is little buzzing. note: my distortion is always full up.

people suggest me a noise gate pedal to overcome this problem.

Is this related to something called shielding? where single coils are not properly shield to create the buzzing sounds? And where do i get a affordable noise gate?

Thanks

Hey i got the same problem as u man!!!

I just experimented not powering my pedal with an adaptor and the buzz went away...and now i'm wondering is it cos of the adaptor?

thanks to share ur exp. I dun think adaptor is the cause cuz i am using batteries:mrgreen:

I have the same problem dude. I'm using a tgm strat copy as well. What i do is use the noise supressor on my me50 to reduce the noise, though i would love to solve this problem. I think the cause of this is because of tgm's poor wiring and that the pickups aren't shielded. A 2-pin amp or 3-pin amp wouldn't reduce the buzzing much, would it?

Don't know about you guys but i was using the 2-pin plug that came with my amp for the longest time and i never really cared much about humming till i bought my 1 spot adaptor. It hummed(buzzed) like crazy when i used the 1 spot to power my pedals.

So i just tried my luck and grabbed a spare CPU cable (3-pin) to plug into my amp. Woot! Silence!

my amp is 3 pin but when i use my adaptor is buzzes like crazy omg.......

will a onespot adaptor do a better job?
