hey guys...
ive been playing on my spider iv 30 for quite awhile and im pretty stuck in the line6 efx chain.
i wanna get myself pedals and form a pedalboard

i only noe basic...
distortion
chorus
equaliser

but i want to sound like paramore
i wan the cleans like "when it rains" or "decode"
the distortion i want it to sound clear and warm...
i think paramore dont use chorus

so i think i need a distortion pedal and equaliser pedal or compresser to boost my soloing?

ohh many ways to boost soloing. Yes some peopler use equaliser pedal or compressor to boost solo. There are others who use an overdrive pedal before the distortion pedal to boost solo, some use a clean boost to boost the distortion pedal for solo. For me I have 2 distortion pedals 1 for rhythm 1 for solo, and i switch between them by using an effects commander pedal. U can also switch between the 2 pedals using a line switcher line the boss line switcher pedal.

The guitarist of Paramore's using a delay pedal for 'When it Rains'. Might wanna consider that. Some people like using it during solo's to create some sort of ambience.

Chorus will basically make your guitar sound as if many guitars are playing simultaneous, just the basic idea.

Like what Likui said, you could use the EQ pedal to boost your solo, OR bring the volume level or gain level down.

Go search for Paul Gilbert's pedal board on Youtube and you will see how he does it. Interesting way of using an EQ.

Can try get 2 drives, 1 delay. Simple setup. Maybe add a reverb and that's about it...
When you get more experienced try other pedals see if they suit.

I like guitarists who know what they are going for.. sound-wise at least. It's easier to give recommendations then.

MHO pedal chain recommendation:

A tuner of your choice>Catalinabred DLS>Suhr Riot>DD3/5>Amp

If i were you, I'd even do away with the DLS and just play the Riot and then use my guitar's vol knob/change pickups for solos.

Not everyone would like the Riot though. Have nothing against it cos I'm using one myself:D but just saying.

I think the danelectro cool cat distortion has always been overlooked. I managed to get one off ebay form $16. Quite a ncie sounding distortion IMO, not too harsh.

Thats really true for anything you play. One man's ear candy is another's... lol.

I'm gonna do a little fan-boying here and go back on my suhr Riot idea and ask you to give the Seventheaven a thought. From OD to distortion from one switch, plus a boost circuit. Saves you the trouble of considering pedal stacking. More than enough beef in that box to cover Paramore.

hi all
thks for suggestions...
my budget is not that high...
i wan a warm and thick dist with sustain
which pedal can do it?

The Danelectro Cool Cat is a line of pedals danelectro makes. Consists of chorus, tremolo, vibe, drive, transparent overdrive, distortion, metal, flanger(not sure on this one), fuzz.

yea i noe...im asking so ill need to buy both danelectro dist and transparent od to fit my sound?

If you go into any self-respecting store you can ask to try them out, in fact that's the best way to tell, try them out side and side and see what sounds best to you. Nothing beats hearing it for yourself.
